May 25 Salamanca y Avila

Today we spent a perfect day with Isabel, Pablo and Lucia.  We started off in Madrid, and took the two hour car ride, north to Salamanca, a beautiful university town with an incredible cathedral in the gothic style.  This cathedral has a frog carved on it, and tourists stand there looking at the thousands of carvings, playing Where's Waldo looking for a tiny frog the same colour as the rest of the church. We spent a good part of the day touring the town, having a leisurely lunch and enjoying each others company.
